OUR TECHNOLOGY
At the heart of Krunchify lies advanced freeze-drying technology. Freeze-drying, or lyophilization, is a state-of-the-art process that gently preserves food by removing water without using high heat. The process begins by freezing the product at very low temperatures, followed by sublimation — where ice crystals turn directly into vapor. This ensures that the natural taste, texture, color, and nutrients remain intact, while creating a light, crunchy texture that makes our snacks unique.Unlike traditional methods of drying or frying, freeze-drying allows us to retain up to 97% of the food’s nutritional value, all while extending shelf life without any preservatives. I’m Rahil Thakkar, a food engineer and the founder of Krunchify. My journey began with one thought — snacking should be exciting, different, and full of joy. Growing up, I loved the playful crunch of candies and the comfort of ice creams, but I always imagined a way to make these experiences more innovative and memorable.
While studying food engineering, I was fascinated by freeze-drying technology — a process that could completely transform the way we enjoy snacks. It inspired me to create Krunchify, where we take everyday favorites like fruits, candies, and ice creams and reimagine them into something light, crunchy, and fun.
Krunchify isn’t about being “perfect” or “guilt-free.” It’s about celebrating little moments with snacks that feel fresh, different, and crafted with care. Through a mix of science, creativity, and passion, I want Krunchify to be the brand that brings a smile to your face and a crunch to your day.
